21 Christian Valentine Poems
1.) My One True Love
Jesus, You are my Valentine
my first love and friend
You are my heart’s desire
my soul mate to the end.
Jesus, You are my Valentine,
every day of every year
You sweeten up my life
bring to it hope and cheer.
Jesus, You are my Valentine,
my one and only true love
I cannot wait till we meet
in heaven, one day above.
Jesus, You are my Valentine,
Your grace is my eternal gift
only lasting love like this . . .
can bring my spirit such a lift.
Jesus, You are my Valentine,
I know I am Yours too . . .
for there is no greater love
then the one I found in You!
– Deborah Ann Belka
2.) You’re Often In My Thoughts
Love is really a command
That Christians are known as to do;
Our Lord says “Love your God,
And love your neighbor, too.”
Many people are easy to love;
They are human rays of sun;
They illuminate every life,
And encourage everyone.
You’re in that group,
So I sincerely am getting at:
You are often in my thoughts;
Happy Valentine’s Day!
– Unknown
3.) God’s Valentine’s Gift
God’s Valentine gift of love to us
Was not a bunch of flowers;
It wasn’t candy, or a book
To while away the hours.
His gift was to become a man,
So He could freely give
His sacrificial love for us,
So you and I could live.
He gave us sweet salvation, and
Instruction, good and true–
To love our friends and enemies
And love our Savior, too.
So as we give our Valentines,
Let’s thank our Lord and King;
The reason we have love to give
Is that He gave everything.
– Joanna Fuchs

4.) Anchored In Hope
A life anchored in hope,
is one worth living
it brings about faith
praise and thanksgiving.
It’s a life full of trust,
in God for all things
it’s a life secure
under His faithful wings.
A life anchored in Jesus,
is one that is bound
it lives not in fear
for its mind is sound.
It’s a life with meaning,
purpose and direction
it’s a life striving
for godly perfection.
A life anchored in hope,
is one that’s submitted
its heart to Jesus . . .
is fully committed!
– Deborah Ann Belka
5.) Jesus Is My Valentine
Jesus is my Valentine;
I talk to Him each day.
He never, never leaves me;
and always Ilstens when I pray.
Yes He is my Valentine;
there is no love like His.
He is the heart of all that is;
for Him I breathe and live.
He’s a Valentine that never lies;
never hurts or breaks.
He always has forgiven me;
for all my past mistakes.
If you only knew my Valentine;
You would love Him too.
For His love is always perfect;
His love is always true.
So if your heart is longing;
for a love that never ends.
for someone that is faithful;
you know you can depend.
call upon my Valentine;
He’ll wash away your sin.
He will be your Valentine;
and your dearest, dearest friend.
– Susan Y. Nikitenko

Love is a command
That Christians are called to do;

when in Jesus you believe
it’s a fantastic experience
when God’s gift you receive.
It’s a life filled with hope,
peace, joy and rest

when with it you’re blessed.
It’s a wonderful life,

8.) Love From Jesus
This Christian Valentine message
sends you love I got from Jesus,
love I learned from the gospels,
found in His words,
His actions, His example.
This Christian Valentine saying
conveys love I didn’t have
before I was saved,
couldn’t relate to or understand
before I gave my life to the Lord.
On Valentine’s Day,
know that I love you and want to
lift you up, encourage you and serve you.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
– Joanna Fuchs
9.) Roses Aren’t Always Red
Roses aren’t always red,
violets can be white or blue
but what never changes ~ Lord
is the love coming from You.
I know I’m not perfect,
but You love me any way
Your love is like the sunshine
that brightens up my day.
You love me like no other,
what more could I need
for Your love comes with . . .
a satisfaction guaranteed.
Your love is in my heart,
I can feel it in each beat
without it my life . . .
would be incomplete.
Roses sometimes are red,
violets may come blue
but Your love for me ~ Lord
remains constantly true!
– Deborah Ann Belka
10.) Valentine’s Day
One day a Grandmother as happy as could be
Her grandchildren around her and one on her knee.
“Please tell us a story.” all together they chimed
“My children I’ll tell you my favorite Valentine.”
She started her story with a smile on her face.
Pulling out an old heart made of paper and lace.
“I was once your age, it was Valentine’s Day,
I was too sick to go out, even school or to play.
The doctor then came in to check my mom and me.
He whispered to my mom, and then, left quietly.
I questioned my mother after he said goodbye
‘The look on your face is as if you’re going cry.’
She looked upon me with love and tears on her face,
Not speaking she sang the song of Amazing Grace.
I quickly fell asleep with the sound of the song
Her comfort made me forget all that was so wrong
When next I awakened in a chair next to me,
Sat he pastor from our church, he was as kind as could be.
A tall dark-haired young man, with a polite kind face,
He was holding this heart made of paper and lace.
In the middle I saw that it was torn apart.
I asked, ‘What has happened to your beautiful heart?’
‘This Valentine has a great story.’ he began.
Placing the torn red heart gently into my hand.
This heart once used to be flawless, no spot or tear,
Belonging to Jesus, love to all He will share.
Born a perfect child, into perfect man.
He was sent here from God to our desperate land.
God sent this man down here upon this earth because,
People of this world had forgotten how to love.
Their hearts were so gloomy, they were empty within.
He came here to help set people free from their sin.
Jesus healed a lame man; He made a blind man see,
He told about heaven; how to set a soul free.
He did so many things, He helped people to see,
The power of God’s love if they’d only believe.
Then He and His friends went to the garden to pray,
An angry crowd found him there and led Him away.
Jesus who was perfect, in each and every way,
Felt his heart break in two as they led Him away.
The crowd sentenced Jesus made up stories and lied
Even one of his own men deserted Christ and denied.
His great love was His crime, His sentence was to die.
The crowd madly cheered His followers went to hide.
Soldiers ripped out His beard and they spit in His face.
As they whipped His bare back, He now felt a disgrace.
On His head they pushed thorns in the shape of a crown.
They taunted Him as blood started trickling down.
A heavy wooden cross He then carried up hill,
‘Til weakness prevailed, He then stumbled and fell.
Soldiers hammered huge nails through His hands and His feet.
Christ cried, ‘it is finished.’ as He hung from that tree.
Just like the paper heart you now hold in your hand
Christ’s own heart was broken, for the sin of this land.
Jesus’ heart that was broken in every which way,
Was then mended when He arose on the third day.
His death on the cross was a sacrifice for sins,
So we can be sure that we’ll live someday with Him.
The red heart which you hold, like the blood that was shed,
Unite the edges to show He rose from the dead.
The lace is like heaven, beautiful it will be,
Believers together will be able to see.
That is the great lesson about the heart you hold.
Anyone can accept Him both the young and the old.
Believing in Jesus, your heart can be fixed, too
Can I help you to pray this prayer here with you?’
On that Valentine’s Day more than my heart was broke,
But Jesus came in and He gave me a new hope.
Doctor said I would not make it, but Jesus knew,
I had a story to share with each one of you.”
She gave them each a hug, wiped a tear from her face;
She handed them the heart made of paper and lace.
She knew that her grandchildren now Christ’s love understood.
“We want to say the prayer Grandma too, if we could”.
“Dear Jesus, I know on the cross you died for me.
Please now wash my heart pure; Jesus help me to see.
Come into my heart and make me like brand new
Help me live a new life that reflects love of You.
Forgive me of each and every one of my sins,
Thank you my Lord Jesus, Your name I pray Amen.”
– Danette Kettwich
11.) Untitled
Today, I want to take the time
To say that, ‘I Love You’
To express to you just how I feel
Is not always easy to do
But I always want you to know this,
Even when I can’t express,
Because you mean the world to me
And I know I’m truly blessed.
I want to let you know today
How I truly feel,
I love you, and I know I can’t
Continue to keep it concealed
So I want to express today
The love I have inside
And be your special Valentine,
Each day of my life.
I can’t help but thank the Lord
For bringing you into my life,
You fill my world with so much love,
I’m so glad you’re my wife
And you will always be to me,
My special Valentine,
For there is none that could compare
No one like you, I’d find.
– Unknown
12.) What Valentine Can I Give Him
What can I give to Jesus
On this special Valentine’s Day?
How can I tell Him I’ll love Him,
And follow Him, come what may?
How can I show I need Him?
Should I send a red heart, with lace?
How can I thank Him enough
For his sacrifice, love and grace?
What Valentine can I give Him,
My adoration to impart?
I’ll give to Him what He wants most;
I’ll yield to Him my heart.
– Joanna Fuchs

13.) Untitled
I know that God brought us together
And that you’re heaven sent,
For you are everything to me,
My lover and my friend
And as we spend this day together
Reflecting on our love,
Let’s rejoice in the one who made it,
Our Father God above.
The Lord has truly blessed me
When you came into my life,
You’ve changed my world of darkness
Into beautiful rays of light
You are my very closest friend
And will be for all time,
My love will never fade away
For you, my Valentine.
– Unknown
14.) God’s Saving Light
If I could gather,
all the rays of God’s light
I know now blinded eyes
would receive a new sight.
For within each beam,
the blinded eye would see
how the grace of Jesus
came to set them free.
If I could reap,
every ounce of God’s light
everyone would be full
of His power and His might.
For within each burst,
His love would crystallize
and His mercy for them
they would personalize.
If I could gather,
each beam and every ray
I’d forever shine God’s glory
on the Truth and the Way!
– Deborah Ann Belka

17.) I Am Christ’s
You lost since you first started this spiritual war.
You’re worthless, but My God just keeps raising his bar.
In Heaven, at the right hand of God’ I’ll sit.
I haven’t been there, but my eyes can see it.
– Leslie Alexis
18.) I Love You, Jesus
when I look at you, crucified on the cross,
I come face to face with the evil of sin.
when I look at you, abandoned by man,
I just want to sing to you in the best way I can.
I love you, Jesus
I love you, so much
stay with me, don’t leave me,
I want to love you until the day that I die.
when I look at you, hung on the cross,
I look into your face, I see my friend.
when I look at you, forsaken by man,
I feel sore to my bones, but forever to you in debt.
I love you, Jesus
I love you, so much
stay with me, don’t leave me,
I want to love you until the day that I die.
when I look at you, in pain on the cross,
my heart miss a beat, tears run down my face.
when I look at you, insulted by man,
I feel your love inside me, your love with no end.
I love you, Jesus
I love you, so much
stay with me, don’t leave me,
I want to love you until the day that I die.
– Caroline Falzon
19.) Jesus Is The Answer
Put your faith in Jesus.
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Hes the one and only Savior,
Offering hope for toil and strife.
When the burdens seem too hard.
In Him find help and comfort,
Let His angels be your guard.
– Unknown

20.) Perfect Harmony
And lo, my heart was sad, alone,
Bereft of one whose loving presence
Unceasing thoughtfulness and care had given.
My soul was plunged in solitude
Which ne’er before had sorrow known.
‘Tis now that friendship’s sacred help draws near,
And shares the painful loneliness;
Yet with all that sympathy would willingly bestow,
There is a depth it fails to calm.
Far back in deep recesses of the inner self
Unveiled, there still remains an aching hungriness
No human love can reach to soothe.
‘Tis Christ alone who holds the key
And knows the balm that’s needed there;
Yes, he can fathom every depth
And mould the hidden brokenness
– Lucy Qriss
21.) Love To Jesus
When Jesus Christ was here below,
And spread his works of love abroad,
If I had lived so long ago,
I think I should have loved the Lord.
Jesus, who was so very kind,
Who came to pardon sinful men.
Who healed the sick, and cured the blind –
O, must I not have loved him then?
But where is Jesus? – is he dead?
O no! he lives in heaven above;
“And blest are they,” the Saviour said,
“Who, though they have not seen me, love.”
– Jane Taylor
